Job Description

Hours: M – F, 8:50 am – 11:50 pm, 3 hours/day
Effective: January 20, 2026 – End of School Year
Ten-month position, subject to annual reappointment
Duties: Provide instructional support to students in individual, small group and full class settings. Ability to exercise good judgment and get along well with children. Comfortable working with special ed students. Involves physical tasks, e.g. restocking bookshelves, standing, carrying books, crouching, etc.
Rate: New applicants: $25.56/hr
Current employees: In accordance with paraprofessional agreement

Job Qualifications

Requirements: Applicant MUST be NYS Teacher or Teaching Assistant certified. Minimum of 60 college credits is preferred. NYSED fingerprint clearance. Must be comfortable with technology-based tasks. Knowledge of Follet Destiny and current children’s literature.
