Job Description

Hours: M – F, 8:00 am – 2:30 pm, 6.5 hours/day

Effective: Immediately – End of School Year
Ten-month position, subject to annual reappointment

Job Duties: Work directly with students in scheduled and drop-in settings, providing academic support with emphasis on New York State Social Studies content, specifically World History and American History. Provide complex historical concepts, and materials, in accessible, actionable insights. Foster an engaging learning environment, help students develop strong study habits, keep track of student progress, and partner with classroom teachers and study center colleagues.

Rate: New applicants: $26.07/hr
Current employees: In accordance with Paraprofessionals Association agreement

Job Qualifications

Requirement: Applicant MUST be NYS teacher or teaching assistant certified. Minimum of 60 college credits is preferred.
