Duties:

  • Work closely with and assist Director of Educational Television
  • Assist with supervision of student productions, including occasional evening productions (extra compensation)
  • Assist with film and TV media classes
  • Assist with live daily morning news broadcast
  • Troubleshoot TV studio issues
  • Film and edit material for GNPS/TV district channels and website                            
$26.07/hr
Anticipated Special Education Teaching Assistants (DW)

Hours:                        Expected hours are between:
                                    Elementary School: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
                                    Middle School: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
                                    High School: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm   

Effective:                   2026-27 school year
                                   
Ten-month position, subject to annual reappointment

Duties:                       Support teachers and assist special education students.  Provide intervention services directly to individual students and in small group settings

Rate:                          New applicants: $27.07/hr; Current employees: In accordance with Paraprofessionals Association agreement

Part-time Teaching Assistant

Great Neck is seeking a part-time teaching assistant at J.F. Kennedy Elementary school for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a ten-month position, subject to annual reappointment.

Hours: M-F, 8:50am-3:20pm, 6.5 hrs/dy

Duties: Instruct Fun for Fours program, a science-based enrichment program. Provide students with opportunities to observe, explore, create, and discover the world around them.

Requirement: Applicants must be NYS teacher or teaching assistant certified. Minimum of 60 college credits highly preferred.
